I want a place to rant about this that I've been bottling up since yesterday. I'd like to call this rant:
Fears A friend of mine has been afraid of this guy for three years already for lustly touching her in her thigh. Sure, she jumped, got afraid of the guy and is scarred for life. After she talked to the teachers and the social worker, the guy had apologized to her for doing that and that he wouldn't do it again, but she didn't believed him and was skeptic about him ever since. She had dogded him ever since that incident. But this is getting a tad bit silly since she has grown to be a strong Christian and has noticibly been getting better with her relationship with God.
Yesterday was our Class Day, a day at the pool to socialize and have fun. She was chosen to go to the bus that belong to the group this guy has been. She started to cry and told the teacher to change to another bus. The teacher told her she would move her to my bus and moved another friend of ours to the guy's bus (she wanted to so she would talk to her best friend and cousin).
I told her she had to face her fears because she can't dodge for long. She started to cry and told me: "You don't know what it's like!" That soured me... very,
VERY much.
In the pool, everything was great. Played with all my friends and took pictures of them with their cameras (didn't bring mine since I didn't want it to be stolen) and soon she started to swim away and started to say "He's looking at me. He's looking at me."
This soured me even more. I looked at where the boy was and he was talking to his friends.
'Does she need a psychiatrist?' I thought to myself. I told her he wasn't looking at her and she was just imagining it.
"No, he wasn't!" she lashed back. "He was! Look!" I looked and saw him looking at the table area, which we were close to.
"He's looking at the tables, will you please stop it?!"
"You don't know what--"
This pissed me even more, staring to get a mental rage on her. "Please! He doesn't even remember of you! Why would he look at you?! Even if he does remember, he's not Christian, but you are! In the name of God, please rest in peace!" And I swam away from her side and left to talk to my other friends.
What do I want to say with this? If you are Christian and have a real relationship with God, you would give your troubles to Him and He will make you rest and enjoy life without that problem. When she told me "You don't know" I wanted to lash out with "I don't know? I don't
know?! Sure, I don't know a damn about being scarred for life for a thing as small as lustfully touched on the thigh, but I
do know that this is a fear you have been living for three years now! If you don't want to fight your fears and run away from them, fine! You damned your own life with this fear and that boy! I'll keep living as happy as a worm (Puerto Rican phrase) and won't care because you know what? You don't listen to advice. I keep telling you this whole day to face your fears and all you do is run away and cry. Other people have been in worse situation like being raped, so your situation is small compared to them. This is reasurring and look, they're still living happily. Why won't you?!"
She'll never listen to my advice. So why even try? She has damned her life with this situation and trapped herself with it. When she needs to face this fear face-to-face, she can't hide or look for help. She'll need to trust in the Lord for help, but the question is: will she remember the Lord in the day of her confrontation of this fear?

Lecture of the Day
Job 11:13-16 "Surrender your heart to God,
turn to him in prayer,
and give up your sins--
even those you do in secret.
Then you won't be ashamed;
you will be confident
and fearless.
Your troubles will go away
like water beneath a bridge."
Job 11:13-15
"Decídete a actuar con rectitud,
y dirige tus suplicas a Dios.
Si estás cargado de pecado, aléjalo de ti;
no des lugar en tu casa a la maldad.
Así podrás alzar limpia la frente,
y estarás tranquilo y sin temor;
echarás en el olvido tus sufrimientos;
los olvidarás como al agua que pasa."
Psalms 34:4 "I asked the Lord for help,
and he saved me
from all my fears."
Salmos 34:4
"Recurrí al Señor, y él me contestó,
y me libró de todos mis temores."

One heart, one soul, one dream, one wish
One body, one mind, one person, one love
A spirit that roams through our hearts
With an empty soul inside our minds
With a heart in our bodies still beating...longing for that someone

the first steps without this brace
will be the most glorious you've ever taken.
